Literature Text

Your body trembles with excitement as you gracefully dance around your room, a demented smile on your face. Soon, you would be able to end your quest for vengeance and come out on top of it all, along with your twisted children in Corruption. "Tonight... I will finally crush the traitor... make said person regret... pay for the committed crimes against my team... now, my children. Yes... it will be a glorious feast!" you coo as you slowly wrap your arms around yourself.
You make a special spot for your prisoners-to-be in your temporary living quarters, but the stone pedestals where you would bound them just didn't seem to be enough. No... you need something a bit more suited to your warped taste. And then it hits you.
Father, the essence of Corruption, has taken over your body. He's inside you-- he is you.
So why not utilize some of the power that comes with it?
"I like the way you think," Father says to you as your body suddenly quakes. You double over, your body collapsing onto the pedestal. You cough and choke-- you feel something emerging from your body.
Suddenly, you vomit a strange liquid onto the pedestal. The liquid solidifies into organic material that you've never seen-- and it keeps coming out of your body. You feel as if you're about to regurgitate your insides. When your sight returns and the gagging stops, you smile softly as you inspect your handiwork. You've created a small Nest, a miniature breeding ground for your children-- and the place where the traitor and his/her bodyguard would be mentally tortured into submission.
You wait for your prey in one of the slashed tents.  Father and your team keep you company; you feel the anxiety brewing within you as you chatter amongst the group and the voice of your possessor rings through your mind. You feel the bitter cold air leaking into the tent from outside, stinging your chilled skin. All is quiet around you.
You peer outside to check on your puppet, who you've given a Guardian's cloak to protect her from the chilly night. With a deep huff, you slip back into the tent. The excitement is tying your stomach in knots.

After much silence and waiting, you finally hear the traitor's voice. You speak to your puppet, asking her to bring the traitor closer to the tent. The traitor asks her to take him/her to the treasure. You follow the traitor and his/her bodyguard with your snake-like eyes as they descend into the ruins.
The lot of you are light on your feet-- almost ghost-like. You signal to your teammates to sink into the walls and floor as you follow your puppet and the two cretins. As the natural light fades, you see the bodyguard and the traitor attempt to turn on their flashlights. When that fails, they use their phones. "I thought you said the batteries to the flashlights were charged," you hear the traitor say. His/her voice makes your blood boil and puts a bitter taste at the back of your throat. You sincerely hate this person.
When they reach the point of interest, you sink into the shadows, keeping watch as the bodyguard slowly reveal his gun. "You've outlived your usefulness," the traitor says to the puppet. "Thank you for your time."
Before the bodyguard could pull the trigger, the puppet is pulled into the shadows by the Guardians and the ruins go silent. Confused, the bodyguard surveys the area. The deep growls of your children fill the area and your laughter follows suit. The traitor almost instantly recognizes your voice and is suddenly paralyzed with fear. "No... I killed you!" he/she shouts.
"Or did you, Darling?" you ask as black, dripping tentacles slither out of your back and around the bodyguard's ankles, yanking him to the floor. The traitor panics and rushes towards the gun, only for you to smack it away with one of your extra appendages. "Oops," you hiss softly.
"Damn you, demon!" the traitor shouts. "Reveal yourself!"
"You'll have to ask nicely," you giggle deviously as one of the tentacles lunge for the traitor and wraps itself around his/her neck. "But I'll reveal myself anyway since... well,I want to show you how your betrayal has benefited me."
You slip out of the shadows, your smile broadening at the sound of the traitor's gasp. "No... it can't be... you're just some creep wearing someone's skin!" the traitor barely manages to say through his/her choking.
"Oh no no no..." you say as you approach him/her. With a smile, you lean your face close to the traitor's ear and whisper, "Thank you."

You drag them to your temporary living quarters and take special time to delicately massage the fleshy walls with your hands. "Do you like my creation?" you ask your unconscious prisoners. "I like to... decorate when I can."
When you get no response, you realize that you've knocked them out. You proceed to pin them to the wall, the organic material wrapping itself around their bodies, save for their heads. You lightly slap them to wake them, chuckling as the traitor gasps for air. "Oh my... am I being a bit rough?" you whisper.
"Fuck you," the bodyguard manages.
"Hush!" you snarl as the Nest gags him. "Now... I want you to look into the eyes of the people you've killed."
As if cued, your children-- your teammates ascend from the fleshy floor, their heads lowered. They simultaneously peel the black masks from their faces, and one by one, they slowly lift their heads, reciting their names, followed by their Guardian Unit: Rouge Unit 001 through Rouge Unit 005. They all point to the traitor, monotonously murmuring, "You have slain us. You have left us for dead. But in turn, your actions have led to our liberation. For that we must thank you. Now... accept your punishment."
One by one, your team mates approach the traitor and his/her bodyguard, slowly cutting their hand and smearing their blackened blood on their faces as they recite the seven stages of Corruption.
Mild symptoms.
Moderate symptoms.
Attempted Rejection.
Internal Consumption.
Hysteria.
Aggressive Infection.
Self mutilation.
"After suffering through those seven phases," they drone, gesturing towards you, "you will finally be assimilated. You will finally... serve Father."
"No," the traitor gasps.
You step forward, a demonic grin splitting your face in half as you watch the blood sink into the eyes and mouths of your victims. "Yes," you hiss amongst their coughs and grunts of pain. "YES!"
The ruins are flooded with your cackling as you complete your transformation into your unique alteration of Father.
