OHAI TRADITIONAL ART WE HAVEN'T TALKED IN A WHILE

So here we have Felix and Cid holding their "Key Essence Triggers" (shortened to "Trigger"), which are little trinkets that they use to access their Life Force and summon their weapons. I'm aware that the transforming weapons concept has been done before and admit to making use of the cliché. TOOOTES ADMIT TO THAT.
I'm also willing, however, to add a spin to the concept; I just have to sit down and brainstorm this. I seem to be really good at switching shit up apparently. Or maybe that's just me being confident. ;u;

WHATEVER THE CASE, Key Essence Triggers are often chosen during someone's first encounter with the Corrupted Life Stream (or Pure Life Stream, if one is Corrupted). It's kinda complicated, but if someone has the potential to channel the Life Stream through their body, then their brain kinda snaps open their Life Force (mana, in simpler terms) paths and whatever they touch becomes their Trigger. In fact, Hirigani inherited the Lightning/Fire essence from Luke. Cx

The only thing is, the triggers don't channel authentic Pure energy; it gets translated into a tangible weapon that then channels an element or something, if that makes sense. Certain people like Felix can, however, channel Pure energy through his weapon, like how Ash and Kitsu can channel Corrupted energy through the laser shots in their guns, turning the laser shot into a Corrupt shot.

FUCK I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE.

When I have it better fleshed out. this is just a literary concept sketch that developed from a concept I briefly meeped about a while ago. <3
